Do I need a visa to travel to Israel?
Yes. Most travelers, including U.S. citizens, are now required to apply for electronic travel authorization before arriving in Israel. This is a simple online process that replaces the previous automatic tourist visa. We will send you the necessary instructions and links as your travel date approaches.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
Is it safe to come to Israel right now?
The country is still in an active conflict, and we understand that this raises questions. We monitor the situation closely and make decisions based on both practical safety and prayerful discernment. If conditions change, we will keep you informed and walk with you through every decision.
We do not take unnecessary risks, and we are committed to the well-being of our students.
What happens if the study tour is cancelled?
If the Spring 2026 study tour is cancelled before it begins, you will receive a full refund, including your $500 deposit.
If the program begins but must be cut short due to government closures or travel restrictions, the semester will continue online, and we will provide support to help you finish well.
Is any kind of insurance required?
Yes. You are required to have basic health insurance that will cover you while you are in Israel. This does not need to be an Israeli plan. Many travelers use a short-term international insurance policy or check with their current provider for overseas coverage.
Travel insurance is not required. You are welcome to purchase it if you choose, especially to cover things like flight delays or lost luggage
What does the $4,000 donation cover?
Your donation supports the nonprofit ministry Jerusalem Light and covers the following:
• All guided tours and site teaching across Israel
• Housing in the Old City for 10 weeks
• Bible classes and transcript credit through CCBC
• Discipleship, mentorship, and daily support
• Local ministry and service opportunities
The donation does not cover:
• Flights to and from Israel
• Transportation to and from the airport
• Food and groceries (we recommend bringing around $800 in cash)
• Personal expenses, public transportation, or optional outings
Will I receive college credit?
Yes. All classes are accredited through Calvary Chapel Bible College and will appear on your transcript. You will receive course registration information after you arrive.
What should I bring?
We will send you a full packing list before your departure. In general, you should bring clothes for walking, modest worship settings, and varied weather. Space is limited, so we recommend packing light.
Can I talk with someone in person before coming?
Yes. Once you apply or are accepted, you are welcome to request a Zoom or FaceTime call. We are happy to speak with you or your parents directly during the preparation process.
